FLIR Systems Korea announced the launch of three new digital multimeters and clamp meters that support thermal imaging capabilities for electrical performance testing and measurement work by electricians and HVAC/R professionals.

The FLIR DM166 and FLIR DM285 digital multimeters and the FLIR CM275 clamp meter are all equipped with FLIR Infrared Guided Measurement (IGM) technology based on FLIR Lepton micro thermal imaging cameras. This allows operators to visually inspect abnormal electrical conditions in a building through thermal imaging.

For HVAC/R professionals, thermal imaging technology provides a crucial solution. In fact, HVAC/R technicians and building performance experts have been using thermal imaging technology for decades to identify potential problems in buildings and construction processes. For them, excessive heat often serves as an indicator of electrical defects.

Therefore, by using thermal imaging cameras, electricians and HVAC/R specialists can not only quickly identify temperature-related problems but also pinpoint the cause without actually touching the wires, thereby avoiding work hazards.

The FLIR DM285 is the highest-performing, state-of-the-art digital multimeter among FLIR products, offering a total of 18 functions and 160 x 120 thermal image resolution. In addition to IGM technology, it is equipped with built-in storage for measurements and images, and simplifies inspection procedures as well as data collection, sharing, and reporting through wireless connectivity. Temperature measurement is possible up to 400°C.
The FLIR DM166 is the most affordable product among FLIR's integrated digital multimeter and thermal imaging camera measurement systems. It features 80 x 60 thermal resolution, various multimeter inspection functions, and high versatility for flexible operation in high and low voltage environments. As the highly durable and drop-tested DM166 product comes with a 10-year warranty covering both the unit and the thermal detector.

The FLIR CM275 is FLIR's state-of-the-art 600A AC/DC clamp meter that enables rapid measurement of target points with 160 x 120 thermal image resolution. The FLIR CM275 features various measurement functions, Bluetooth connectivity, and image storage, and offers a screen that is over 40% larger than previous models.
