Schneider Electric Builds Yesco Remote Monitoring System
Published2017.11.21 17:22Schneider Electric Software Korea has newly built a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for Yesco, which supplies and manages city gas in the metropolitan area.
Yesco integrated existing systems and enhanced its safety management system through Schneider Electric Software's 'System Platform' solution. This is a SCADA solution that monitors, controls, and collects data, providing reliability, flexibility, and high performance in industrial processes.
It provides a faster and more intuitive user interface with a simple and convenient grid function, improving engineering efficiency and simplicity, as well as enabling a clear understanding of asset status.
The newly established Yesco remote monitoring system was able to achieve not only more stable performance than the existing system but also significantly improved usability through Schneider Electric software solutions.
In particular, central control personnel can detect and respond to abnormal signals coming from 500 remote facilities in real time, and can also respond immediately to unexpected internal equipment failures, which has greatly improved the stability of the system. In addition, data can be stored in a central database (Process Historian - Real-time Database) in real time, and analysis and reports can be generated, enhancing the value and reliability of the data.
A Yesco official stated, "We decided to implement Schneider Electric Software's products because they offer a higher level of completeness than existing systems, are convenient for management including maintenance, and possess superior trend capabilities. Through this, we were able to take the level of safety management functions to the next level and build a convenient and stable system by saving time on data analysis. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers.
