Private keys isolated from system and separately stored within secure area to enhance security level

Microchip Technology announced the launch of the ATECC608A CryptoAuthentication device.

The ATECC608A is a Secure Element (SE) device that enables developers to add hardware-based security to their designs. Additionally, Microchip has launched the Security Design Partner Program, which establishes partnerships between partner companies and developers to enhance and accelerate secure design.

The foundation of secure communication lies in generating, protecting, and authenticating a device's unique and trusted ID. The ATECC608A isolates the device's private key from the system and stores it separately within a secure area, applying advanced cryptographic techniques to provide a high level of security applicable to most design types.

Nuri Dagdeviren, Vice President of Microchip's Security Products Group, stated, "In today's connected applications, security is an essential element, and this importance is even more emphasized for products spanning from hardware to the cloud. Along with hardware security solutions, Microchip provides the Microchip Security Design Partner Program. In this program, industry-leading companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform provide cloud-based security models and infrastructure.
