Apple's 'iPhone X', commemorating Apple's 10th anniversary, has been launched. Mobile carriers held launch events.

KT's First iPhone X Customer Waited On-Site for 6 Days and 7 Nights

KT selected 100 iPhone X pre-order customers who applied to participate in the iPhone X launch event through a drawing and held the 'iPhone X Launching Festival' event at KT Square in Gwanghwamun on the 24th, the activation start date. KT's Park Hyun-jin, Head of Wired/Wireless Business Division, welcomed invited customers on-site and joined in a countdown chant to kick off the event.

The honor of being KT's number one iPhone X customer went to Son Hyun-gi (male, 26 years old), a customer in his 20s who waited on-site for 6 days and 7 nights starting from the 18th.

Son Hyun-gi said, "Since KT launched the iPhone 3GS in 2009 until now, I have used KT's iPhone for 8 years, and I am currently using the iPhone 6S model. With each new generation, the iPhone has always delivered fresh and amazing impressions, and this time I expect iPhone to break free from itself and move to a new full-screen interface to set new standards for smartphones."

KT's first activation customer received free support for the Data Choice 76.8 plan for 2 years and was given certain benefits including Apple Watch 3, Giga Genie LTE, and Belkin Accessories Set. Customers ranked 2nd and 3rd received Apple Watch 3 and Belkin genuine wireless charging pad, and all 100 invited customers received a basic accessories set. Additionally, all attendees were provided Belkin tempered glass, and on-site attachment service by professionals was also provided.

SKT Unveils Insurance with Maximum Coverage of 1.4 Million Won for Loss or Damage

SK Telecom held an event as part of 'Christmas Experienced in Advance'. To 80 iPhone X pre-order customers invited to the activation event, SKT will gift ▲Apple Air Pods ▲premium scarves, and so on. Additionally, through a drawing among event attendees, SKT plans to deliver various gifts including ▲iMac ▲iPad ▲Apple Watch.

For customers who purchase iPhone X and worry about loss or damage, SKT is also presenting 'PhoneSafe IV Premium Type' with coverage increased to a maximum of 1.4 million won.

'PhoneSafe IV Premium Type' is an insurance product that provides up to 1.4 million won support when customers who lose their smartphone or need repairs wish to switch to an identical model. SK Telecom expanded the support amount to match the increased list price and designed the product so that existing installment payments and penalty fees can be transferred to the new device.

Customers wishing to subscribe to 'PhoneSafe IV Premium Type' can apply at KT Telecom representatives or branches nationwide within 30 days from the activation date.

LG U+ Introduces iPhone X Features Through Leading iPhone Expert

LG U+ held this event under the name 'ThanX to U' to express gratitude to customers who chose iPhone X from LG U+, and invited 10 customers selected from those who pre-reserved iPhone X and entered the event application.

LG U+ employee Ahn Taek-hyun, known as the leading figure in iPhone-related knowledge in Korea, directly introduced the unique features of iPhone X. Employee Ahn Taek-hyun was selected as an iPhone expert after becoming the first Korean to enter the Global Top 10 in the '2016 Global SEED Challenge' held for Apple authorized resellers worldwide.

In particular, invited customers waited for iPhone X activation while enjoying tea and refreshments at 'CAFE IMA' inside Ilmin Museum of Art and listened to iPhone X usage tips from 'iPhone expert' Ahn Taek-hyun.
