Lens can be replaced according to the on-site situation, and LED lighting eliminates the need for external lighting installation.

Cognex has launched the In-Sight 2000M-23M and In-Sight 2000 Mini, new products in its In-Sight 2000 series that combine the powerful inspection capabilities of industry-leading In-Sight vision systems with the ease-of-use and affordability of a vision sensor.

The Insight 2000 Series is a vision sensor ideal for simple error verification. It features proven Insight vision tools, simple setup, and a modular design based on field-replaceable lighting and optics. Lenses can be swapped to suit field conditions, and the built-in LED lighting evenly distributes illumination across the entire image, eliminating the need for expensive external lighting.

The Insight 2000M-23M offers enhanced data analysis capabilities compared to the previous Insight 2000. It supports a Geometry tool that outputs custom coordinates based on existing tools, a Math & Logic tool for enhanced analysis capabilities, and a Plot tool for customized visualization. Because it can output numerical data from all tools, it is a vision sensor ideal for the manufacturing environment of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Additionally, access to data generated during sensor operation allows for enhanced downstream analysis. It features a built-in LED light with a light diffusion cover and an 8 mm/f2.5 S-Mount/M12 lens. It also supports a total of three image shooting modes: 640 x 480 (standard magnification), 640 x 480 (2x magnification), and 800 x 600 (2x magnification).

The Insight 2000 Mini vision sensor is 68% smaller than the previous Insight 2000, allowing for easy installation in tight spaces. The Insight 2000 Mini is equipped with a liquid lens autofocus module, enabling rapid task transitions. The liquid lens autofocus is available in a 6.2mm focal length for close-range applications and a 16mm focal length for long-range applications.

The Insight 2000 Mini Monochrome model has a built-in red LED, while the color model has a built-in white LED. It supports three image capture modes: 640 x 480 (standard magnification), 640 x 480 (2x magnification), and 800 x 600 (2x magnification).
