Garmin announced the launch of the D2 Charlie, a uniquely styled multi-functional aviation smartwatch.

The D2 Charlie, developed with the input of renowned aviation experts and pilots, boasts sophisticated features and is considered the most versatile aviation smartwatch. It not only provides real-time global weather radar monitoring, but also provides a wealth of airport data, including frequency and runway information.

The full-color, dynamic moving map provides a variety of information, including key landmarks along the route, airports, navigation facilities, basic roads, cities, and waterways, helping pilots navigate smoothly.

It is equipped with an altitude warning function that notifies the user when it reaches or deviates from a pre-set altitude, allowing for convenient and safe flight, and also allows the user to check various weather information (METAR) and forecast (TAF) such as wind speed, precipitation, temperature, dew point, and barometric pressure.

Receive texts, calls, emails, social media alerts, and more via your compatible smartphone, and use the Garmin Pilot™ app to wirelessly transmit flight plans, share or sync GPS information, and more. Additionally, it is useful because it automatically starts recording when a change in altitude is detected, and information such as flight date, total flight time, and route can be checked on the flyGarmin website and Garmin Pilot app.

Additionally, as a multi-functional smartwatch, pre-installed sports apps for running, golf, cycling, swimming, skiing, and hiking help users enjoy a variety of exercises, and wrist heart rate monitoring allows users to check their exercise performance in detail.

The D2 Charlie's high-resolution, highly readable LED screen features a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, and its diamond-like carbon (DLC)-coated titanium bezel boasts exceptional durability. Plus, it features Garmin's easily interchangeable QuickFit bands, allowing users to choose from stylish titanium, luxurious leather, or sporty silicone bands to match their outfit or mood.

It boasts excellent battery performance of up to 20 hours in GPS mode, up to 30 hours in UltraTrac power-saving mode, and up to 12 days when worn in smartwatch mode, and has a water resistance rating of 10 ATM (100 meters).
