Double management productivity and reduce TCO by 30–40%

VMware announced the updated integrated hybrid cloud platform VMware Cloud Foundation 2.3.

VMware Cloud Foundation provides an integrated cloud management platform, enabling customers to easily implement hybrid clouds based on a single infrastructure and operational approach. Adopting VMware Cloud Foundation can accelerate service launch speeds by 6–8 times compared to traditional hardware-based data centers, double management productivity, and reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for private clouds by 30–40%. It also enhances workload mobility between private and public clouds and saves costs by providing hardware as a service on the public cloud.

Another advantage of VMware Cloud Foundation 2.3 is its improved cloud management capabilities. It allows for the use of a single operational model across different clouds and enables the free execution of existing or cloud-native applications without separate development or modification. Additionally, VMware SDDC Manager on VMware Cloud Foundation automates the deployment and configuration of the enterprise-grade cloud management platform VMware vRealize Suite, reducing the time to payback for customer investments.

By combining with VMware vRealize Suite, an integrated operational approach was implemented, and business agility was also enhanced. Application and infrastructure service deployments were automated using VMware vRealize Automation, an automation solution that supports self-service and Day 2 operations capabilities on the hybrid cloud. It is also possible to fully model application and infrastructure stacks on blueprints that include computing, storage, network, and security resources. Furthermore, intelligent operational features from the enhanced operations and monitoring solution VMware vRealize Operations and the intelligent log management and analysis solution VMware vRealize Log Insight enable enterprises to easily and conveniently plan, manage, and scale hybrid cloud deployments.

In addition, VMware Cloud Foundation 2.3 has expanded customers' hardware choices. Because it supports heterogeneous servers in a single rack, users can select servers for each workload domain and implement an environment optimized for applications. This enables IT departments to achieve a higher return on investment (ROI) on existing hardware.
