Lenovo Korea launches two-in-one laptop with detachable body and keyboard
Published2017.12.12 14:10Lenovo Korea announced that it has released the 'Miix 520', a 2-in-1 laptop that has become even smarter with Intel's 8th generation Core i7-8550U processor.
The Mix 520 is a two-in-one notebook with a detachable main body and keyboard, providing the best work environment anytime, anywhere. Equipped with the latest 8th generation Intel Core processor, it is 40% faster than the 7th generation Intel Core processor, allowing for document editing and video editing. In addition, it is equipped with a PCIe SSD with a generous capacity of 256GB, and DDR4 8GB 2133MHz RAM provides a speed that is 33% faster than before and high power efficiency, supporting stable multitasking.
The Miix 520, which is equipped with the Windows 10 operating system, supports the Lenovo Active Pen 2. The Bluetooth-equipped Active Pen 2 has excellent sensitivity with 4,096 pressure levels, allowing for more detailed and natural touch. In addition, the dual watchband hinge, which is solidly made of 256 stainless steel parts, can be freely adjusted to the angle desired by the user up to 160 degrees. This provides an excellent working environment whenever drawing, writing down creative ideas, or working on a presentation.
It is very slim at 9.9mm in tablet mode and weighs only 880g, offering excellent portability. The exterior, made of a modern, integrated aluminum alloy body, offers a sophisticated design and sturdiness. In particular, it is equipped with a 12.2-inch screen with a full HD LED (1920x1200) wide-angle multi-touch display, providing a clear and vivid screen from any angle, and is optimized for creative work or watching high-definition movies.
The Mix 520 offers a more convenient typing environment. The ergonomic screen-protecting keyboard has a longer right-side 'Shift' key than the existing detachable keyboard, and the 1.5mm key spacing makes typing easier. In addition, it provides a backlit keyboard to enable smooth work even in dark places, and the touchpad that allows for precise use emphasizes convenience.
The optional fingerprint reader can log in within 2 seconds with Windows Hello. It is 3 times faster than the existing password input method, and is simple and secure. Each login is designed to be triple-protected, preventing the risk of fingerprint information, etc. being exposed. In addition, it is equipped with WiFi 802.11A/C, a giga-speed wireless LAN that is up to 3 times faster, allowing fast Internet access anytime, anywhere.
