Samsung Electronics is launching the 2018 Young Premium smartphone 'Galaxy A8' through the three major domestic mobile carriers.

Targeting the 2030 generation who freely express themselves anytime and anywhere and pursue the value and enjoyment of daily life, the 2018 'Galaxy A8' inherits the strengths of flagship smartphones, such as differentiated camera features and innovative design, in an even younger and more stylish way.

First of all, the 2018 'Galaxy A8' is equipped with powerful camera features for young consumers who enjoy taking selfies. It features a dual front camera with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors and an F1.9 aperture lens, enabling not only ultra-high-definition selfie shooting but also the 'Live Focus' function, which allows users to blur the background as much as desired both during and after shooting, allowing for the capture of more three-dimensional selfies.

The rear camera features a 16-megapixel sensor and an F1.7 aperture lens, enabling clearer and sharper photos both day and night. Additionally, the VDIS (Video Digital Image Stabilization) function corrects shaking during video recording, allowing for stable and clear footage.

The 2018 'Galaxy A8' features an 18.5:9 Infinity Display that expands the limits of the display. The full-screen display allows users to enjoy video content of various sizes more clearly, providing the best viewing experience.

The 2018 Galaxy A8 is equipped with a host of premium features particularly appealing to the younger generation. Not only is it compatible with the mobile payment service Samsung Pay, but it also supports Bixby Home, Bixby Reminder, and Bixby Vision, part of the intelligent interface Bixby. Along with IP68 water and dust resistance, it is the first Galaxy A series device to be compatible with Gear VR.

The 'Galaxy A8' comes with 32GB of internal memory and is available in three colors: black, gold, and blue, with a retail price of 599,500 won.

To celebrate the launch of the 2018 Galaxy A8, Samsung Electronics is holding the "5,000 Won Happiness" event for purchasing customers until February 28. Customers who participate in the event via the Samsung Members or Samsung Pay applications after activation will receive a discount coupon allowing them to purchase a JBL Go Bluetooth speaker (worth 44,000 won), a genuine Neon Flip Cover (worth 33,000 won), or a Kick-Tok+Ring Tok Cover Set (worth 39,000 won) for 5,000 won.
