Limelight Networks announced that Magine TV, a Europe-based cloud-based TV platform provider, has adopted its CDN service to secure capacity and stability and diversify risk.

Magine supports seamless content distribution through its integrated global network, 'TV Superhighway,' and collaborates with content creators and distributors to provide consumers and partners with the world's best TV brands.

Mezine TV, which previously used a third-party CDN, was unable to provide seamless video services due to a power outage during the 2014 Rio de Janeiro World Cup in Brazil. This prompted the company to deliberate on strategies to secure capacity. Consequently, Mezine TV began reviewing measures to diversify risk and enhance capacity and stability.

Viewers of Magine's proprietary consumer OTT service and B2B clients expect high-quality service for high-volume VOD and live streaming content distributed globally. Accordingly, Magine decided to adopt a multi-CDN strategy to ensure higher levels of availability and performance.
