Exhibition of 'Chef Collection', winner of the CES Innovation Award in the Consumer Electronics category

Samsung Electronics and Dacor will participate in 'KBIS 2018 (The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show)' held in Orlando, USA, and unveil a large lineup of premium built-in appliances.

Samsung Electronics showcased various kitchen appliance packages, including the premium built-in 'Chef Collection' lineup emphasizing smart features, while Dacor participated in the exhibition focusing on its top-tier built-in lineups, 'Modernist' and 'Heritage'.

Samsung’s ‘Chef Collection’ is a lineup that harmonizes technology and design, and consists of products that reflect the insights of the ‘Samsung Club de Chef,’ composed of world-class chefs, from the product planning stage. In particular, four Chef Collection cooking appliances swept the Innovation Awards in the home appliance category at CES 2018, proving Samsung Electronics' unique and differentiated product capabilities.

The Chef Collection kitchen appliance package showcased at this exhibition consists of: a 4-door Flex refrigerator featuring a variable temperature compartment that can be switched according to use; a 'Double Wall Oven' equipped with a steam function and allows for divided cooking space; a 'Gas Cooktop' with powerful heat output (22K BTU); an 'Induction Cooktop' that intuitively displays the heat level using a virtual flame; a 'Professional Range' combining a dual convection oven with a high-power gas cooktop; and a 'Water Wall Dishwasher' that cleans without blind spots using powerful water pressure.

These products are finished in stainless steel or black stainless steel, giving them a modern and luxurious feel. The refrigerator doors can also be finished with the same material as the kitchen furniture, completing a built-in design that perfectly harmonizes with the kitchen interior. In addition, all products are equipped with Wi-Fi functionality, allowing them to be operated or monitored via smartphone, providing differentiated convenience.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is operating a 'Connected Living Zone' where consumers can experience connected services with washing machines, kitchen appliances, and air conditioners, centered around the Family Hub refrigerator that won the 'CES 2018 Best Innovation Award,' enabling them to experience the value that IoT technology provides.

Dacor has been participating for four consecutive years since 2015, and at this exhibition, it received favorable reviews from architects and designers for its first joint product with Samsung Electronics, the 'Modernist Collection,' and Dacor's 'Heritage' lineup organized into various lifestyle concepts.

The Daicor exhibition space consists of ▲ 'The Playgound,' where everyone can enjoy cooking together with a live cooking show ▲ 'The Social Hub,' a gallery-style exhibition space ▲ 'The Creative Studio,' where busy city dwellers can express their individuality and creativity ▲ and 'The Open Invitation,' which presents a cozy, family-centered kitchen.

In particular, 'The Social Hub' attracted attention by exhibiting a refrigerator enhanced with artistry through the incorporation of works by renowned ceramic artist Ann Agee.

Meanwhile, the 'Modernist Collection' cookware is characterized by the combination of Samsung Electronics' differentiated technology and luxurious design, and since its launch last year, it has been featured in the '2017 VIP Awards' by the U.S. electronics media outlet TWICEOvens, ranges, and cooktops were selected, and a 36-inch gas cooktop was selected for the 'Great Design Award 2017' by the renowned American architecture and design magazine AD (Architectural Digest).
