LG Uplus Supports IoT Helmet Usage Fees for the National Police Agency PyeongChang Winter Olympics Planning Division

LG Uplus announced that it will provide free support for the usage fees of 'IoT helmets' to be used by the National Police Agency PyeongChang Winter Olympics Planning Division during the event period.
The IoT helmet is a smart helmet equipped with LTE modem, camera, wireless communication function, GPS, and more, enabling real-time field monitoring and confirmation of worker location and movement patterns, thereby improving communication efficiency between the control center and the field.
When police utilize the IoT helmet, field situations can be grasped in HD-quality real-time video not only at the comprehensive situation room but also at the control center at Seoul headquarters, enabling fast and accurate initial response based on this information.

In particular, the IoT helmet enables seamless video communication via LTE, and since the camera is attached to the shoulder for recording, it is easy to move, allowing field police or control center personnel to capture and monitor necessary field video as needed.
The IoT helmet control platform can be accessed and used on PCs and smartphones, utilizing a cloud-based control platform operated by LG Uplus.
Im Jang-hyuk, Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Business Division at LG Uplus, stated, "In the event of an emergency situation, securing the golden hour through accurate situation assessment and rapid response is very important," and added, "We anticipate that the IoT helmet, which leverages Korea's ICT technological capabilities, will contribute to safely conducting the event."

LG Uplus announced the launch of 'Smart Russel UP,' a home interior safe that combines IoT technology with Seonil Safe, a safe manufacturing company (CEO Kim Young-sook).
