TI Korea (CEO Kent Jeon, www.ti.com/ww/kr ) April 6, 2012 – TI has redefined the low-power amplifier market by launching a fully differential analog-to-digital converter (ADC) driver that offers more than eight times the performance-to-power ratio compared to competing devices. This fully differential amplifier, the THS4531, provides a bandwidth of 36 MHz while consuming only 250 μA of quiescent current, enabling it to meet the high performance and ultra-low power requirements of portable, high-density systems such as flow meters and portable medical equipment. Features and Advantages of THS4531
• Reduces data acquisition time when driving high-sample-rate converters by featuring a 36MHz bandwidth, a 220V/μs slew rate, and a fast stabilization time of 150ns with 0.01%.
• Features a 0.5µA power down mode, 250µA quiescent current, and 2.5V to 5V power operation, enabling battery operation and flexible power supply selection.
• Provides 16-bit accuracy, driving ADCs such as the ADS8317 or ADS1278 or other DC-coupled applications
• Provides flexible negative rail input in-mode and rail-to-rail output, simplifying interface design through single-ended ground-based signal sources, differential SAR (successive approximation register), and delta-sigma ADCs.
• Measuring just 2mm x 2mm, this IC is the industry's smallest high-speed fully differential amplifier, suitable for high-density applications.
