ROHM Launches PSR100 Series of Ultra-Low Resistance Shunt Resistors
Published2018.01.26 13:46ROHM has released the 'PSR100 series', a high-power ultra-low resistance shunt resistor for current detection in sets requiring high power, such as automobiles and industrial equipment.
Shunt resistors are used in various fields for current detection in high-power applications. In particular, as the electronics and automotive industries expand, the number of small motors and ECUs installed is increasing. Accordingly, to meet the rising demand for high-power, small shunt resistors, ROHM has added small products to its high-power, ultra-low resistance PSR series.
The PSR100 series uses a high-performance alloy for the resistor metal, achieving an excellent resistance temperature coefficient (TCR) even in the low-resistance region. In addition, by utilizing proprietary precision welding technology, it achieves a small size (6.35×3.05mm) with a high power of 3W.
Accordingly, it can be used with confidence even in circuits of sets requiring stringent temperature guarantees, such as in the automotive and industrial equipment sectors, contributing to the reduction of design load and the miniaturization of applications.
ROHM announced that it will strengthen its lineup in the power sector, ranging from resistors to transistors and diodes.

ROHM Develops Boost DC/DC Converter with Built-in MOSFET for Low Current Consumption
로옴 (ROHM) 주식회사는 전자사전 및 가전용 리모컨, 가젯 (장난감, 액세서리) 등, 건전지로 동작하는 전자기기용으로, 저소비전류를 실현한 MOSFET 내장 승압 DC/DC 컨버터 「BU33UV7NUX」를 개발했다. BU33UV7NUX는 건전지 1~2개의 입력전압 (1V~3V)에 대해, 마이컴 구동에 필요한 3.3V를 출력하는 승압 타입의 전원 IC다. 건전지 어플리케이션의 장시간 동작을 위해, 저소비전류화를 실현함으로써 기능이 동등한 제품 대비 소비전류 7μA를 실현했다.

로옴은 이러한 복잡한 설계환경의 극복을 위해 USBPD 와 무선충전 IC 의 입력 구분 제어가 가능한 충전 제어 IC BD99954 를 출시하였다. 로옴의 배터리 충전 IC BD99954는 기존 두가지 충전 입력을 위해 필요한 트랜지스터 2 PCS, 저항기 4 PCS 를 BD99954 2 PCS 로 대치하였으며, 기존의 충전시스템을 위해 필요하던 FET구동 입력 제어 마이컴이 없이도 충전 전환이 가능하도록 설계 하였다.
