ASUS announced that it will be unveiling the ROG Swift PG65, a large gaming monitor that was exhibited at CES 2018.

The ROG Swift PG65 (hereinafter referred to as PG65) was unveiled to event participants as a monitor suited to the future trend of large-scale gaming content in line with the event theme of 'The Future of Smart Cities'.

The ASUS PG65 is a 65-inch monitor that supports NVIDIA's Big Format Gaming Display (BFGD). Display size is crucial for realism, but TVs have been plagued by input lag, making them inconvenient for fast-paced action and FPS games. Additionally, there is an aspect where frame compensation technologies such as G-SYNC for games were not applied.



ASUS' PG65 includes features such as input lag implementation, 4K UHD resolution, HDR function, and a refresh rate of 120Hz, supporting G-Sync for smooth picture quality by reducing frame tearing and flickering.

The brightness is 1,000 nits, the highest level among HDR standards, and unlike conventional monitors that control light by emitting LED light in front of the screen through a light guide plate, the LED light-emitting element is attached to the back of the screen, so the contrast ratio is expressed through direct control through the HDR function.

Additionally, with the built-in NVIDIA Shield, you can control the interface with a remote control and game controller, and it supports various video services such as YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Video, and you can stream games from a PC equipped with a GeForce graphics card with NVIDIA GameStream support.

The ASUS PG65 can play videos at 24 and 25 frame rates, which are commonly used in videos and movies, with a 120Hz refresh rate to show smooth frames, while supporting the DCI-P3 level color gamut and variable refresh rate.
