Launch of the world's fastest real-time oscilloscope with 63GHz true analog bandwidth
Agilent Korea (CEO and President Seung-Yeol Kim) announced the Infiniium 90000 Q-Series oscilloscope, featuring the industry's highest real-time 2-channel 63GHz bandwidth and 4-channel 33GHz bandwidth. The new Agilent oscilloscope family includes 10 4-channel models ranging from 20 GHz to 63 GHz, and all products are capable of additional bandwidth upgrades. These new oscilloscopes achieve the lowest noise in the industry and guarantee superior measurement accuracy with the lowest jitter measurement floor.
Jay Alexander, Agilent Vice President and General Manager of the Oscilloscope Business Unit, stated, "The 90000 Q-Series marks a new milestone for Agilent Infiniium oscilloscopes," adding, "Over the past five years, we have released oscilloscopes with deep memory, the lowest noise floor, and high bandwidth. The 90000 Q-Series is the culmination of all these innovations, and the three aforementioned industry-leading features enable engineers to design and certify devices using the latest technology."

In terms of maximum bandwidth, the Q-Series has surpassed the 60 GHz bandwidth barrier with a -3 dB point at 63 GHz. The 33 GHz model allows engineers to capture triggers and signals on all four channels without any restrictions. These two specifications enable measurements on oscilloscopes designed to comply with the new standards.
The main features are as follows:
• Direct digitization of M-band signals (60 GHz to 100 GHz).
• Capture of third harmonics on 28-, 32-, and 40-Gbps digital signals
• IEEE 802.3ba 40/100/400 GbE and Optical Internetworking Forum CEI 3.0 Signal Analysis
• Measurement of up to four differential channels in a single acquisition to solve difficult crosstalk problems
• Directly measure voltage changes greater than 1V when high bandwidth and general-purpose measurements need to be performed with a single piece of equipment

Evaluation agencies are already giving positive assessments that this product will lead and pioneer groundbreaking ideas and concepts in technological development.
"Based on Agilent's early prototype equipment that we were able to use for initial testing, our team was able to move toward the next stage in the field of high-speed wireless data communication coherent detection research," said Dr. Peter Winser of Bell Labs.
The 90000 Q-Series features a new proprietary technology called RealEdge and improves the integrated circuits and multi-chip module packaging used by Agilent. RealEdge consists of a combination of a new architecture, next-generation microcircuits, thin-film components, and advanced applications of Agilent's indium phosphide semiconductor process. This new technology enables high-frequency performance while maintaining the industry's lowest noise and jitter measurement floor (75 fs).
The 90000 Q-Series enables engineers to experience measurement superiority through hardware and software that embody years of technological innovation from Agilent Infiniium oscilloscopes. This technological innovation is the perfect integration of the following elements:
• Agilent's flexible and innovative InfiniiMax III probing technology for bandwidths up to 30 GHz
• Compatible with over 40 measurement application packages, including jitter, triggering, measurement, and analysis tools, as well as all compliance-certified test suites.
• Agilent's proprietary software for over 40 measurement systems available in the newly released Q Series
Innovative InfiniiView software that allows engineers to analyze data using oscilloscope software on a PC or laptop instead of tying up equipment for analysis.
• N2807A PrecisionProbe advanced software that allows engineers to characterize or modify cable properties up to 63 GHz
The new Infiniium 90000 Q-Series oscilloscope overcomes digital limitations more accurately than competing oscilloscopes due to its unique low jitter and noise floor. This enhanced measurement accuracy provides engineers with significant design advantages.
The 90000 Q-Series features the following industry-leading specifications.
• Rise time (<7 ps)
• Noise floor (50 mV/div, 4.4 mV at 63 GHz)
• Jitter measuring floor (~ 75 fs) -End-
