NVIDIA Hosts 'GTC 2018' to Showcase AI and Deep Learning Technology Trends
Published2018.02.28 11:08NVIDIA announced that it will hold the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2018 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, USA.
Held annually since its inception in 2009, GTC has grown in both scale and attendance each year, reflecting the growing demand for GPUs in machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), data centers, and high-performance computing. NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang will kick off GTC 2018 with a keynote address on "The Future of Computing."
GTC 2018 will feature hundreds of sessions where NVIDIA and AI experts from around the world will share firsthand the latest technology trends and success stories. ▲Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence, ▲Accelerated Analytics, ▲Virtual and Augmented Reality, ▲Automated Machines and Innovative Robots, ▲HPC and Supercomputing, ▲Developer Tools, ▲GPU Virtualization, ▲IVA & Smart City, ▲Autonomous Driving Technology, ▲Data Center and Cloud, ▲AI for Business, ▲Gaming, etc. Over 600 presentation sessions will be held under 12 major topics, allowing you to see how topics leading future technological innovation are being applied and bringing about innovation in the industry.
Key speakers include industry leaders from BMW, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, Facebook, and Toyota, as well as AI experts from Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, New York University, and the University of Tokyo, who will share insights on the latest technology trends and provide networking opportunities.
During GTC 2018, the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute will also offer hands-on training sessions with NVIDIA's top AI experts, allowing you to learn the latest deep learning frameworks and solutions.
GTC also hosts the NVIDIA Inception Awards, an annual event where NVIDIA recognizes and rewards the best AI startups. This year, ahead of the main event, 12 startups that submitted their proposals in advance on March 6th will compete in three categories: healthcare, automated systems, and enterprise. The six companies selected from each category will advance to the finals held at GTC.

Maxim Supports NVIDIA Autonomous Driving Platform Functional Safety
맥심 인터그레이티드가 엔비디아(NVIDIA)와 협업해 엔비디아의 업계 최초 레벨 5 완전 자율주행 플랫폼 ‘드라이브 페가수스(DRIVE Pegasus)’, 레벨 4 주행을 위한 ‘드라이브 자비에(DRIVE Xavier)’를 지원한다고 밝혔다. 맥심의 ASIL(Automotive Safety Integrity Level) 관련 솔루션 및 고성능 아날로그 통합 기술은 차세대 기가비트 멀티미디어 직렬 링크(GMSL) 병렬-직렬 송신회로(SerDes) 기술과 전력 시스템 모니터링 솔루션을 포함한다. 맥심은 이를 통해 엔비디아 자율주행 플랫폼의 기능 안전을 지원한다.

NVIDIA Accelerates Autonomous Driving Technology with Xavier SoC
엔비디아가 자비에 시스템 온 칩(Xavier System-on-a-Chip)을 통해 자율주행차 구현에 가까워질 전망이라고 밝혔다. 현재의 자율주행차 기술은 혼잡한 시간대의 고속도로나 평행주차 시에 스스로 조종이 가능한 수준으로, 아직 스스로 모든 상황에서 실행이 가능하진 않다. 엔비디아는 CES 2018에서 시스템 온 칩(SoC)인 드라이브 자비에를 공개했다.
