April 25, 2012 – Bridgelux Inc. (Country Manager Jong-Soon Kim), a global developer of LED lighting technology and solutions, announced the Bridgelux® Cetero™ SLM (Spot Light Module), a compact, high-flux-density light source that provides clean, consistent white light without pixilation. The Cetero™ SLM was developed to comply with the upcoming Zhaga SLM specifications and provides lighting outputs ranging from 800 to 2,300 lumens in a single common form factor across various color temperatures. The Cetero SLM is mechanically compatible with the upcoming Zhaga interface specifications, ensuring interchangeability and a modular product platform, which is expected to further expand customers' lighting design options.

Bridgelux is actively participating as a member of ZAGAR, a global consortium formed by global lighting companies such as Philips, GE, and Osram to develop standard specifications for LED lighting engine interfaces. ZAGAR, comprising over 180 companies in the lighting industry, is a global consortium aiming for interoperability between LED lighting sources from different manufacturers. Adherence to these design specifications will alleviate market concerns regarding rapidly evolving LED technology and its sustainability, thereby ensuring design flexibility and verifying future upgrade paths for OEM customers and end users.

The Cetero module provides a minimum CRI of 80 and 3 SCDM color coherence, and utilizing the proven manufacturing technology of Bridgelux's ES product family, it will be available in color temperatures of 2700, 3000, 3500, and 4000. Initially, to ensure compatibility with secondary optics, it will offer operating lumens of 800, 1100, and 2000 across all general-purpose light source ranges. The Cetero SLM will be commercially available by the end of 2012.
