SK Telecom announced that its intelligent video service 'T View' has received 'intelligent CCTV' performance certification from KISA (Korea Internet & Security Agency).

Intelligent CCTV is a system that analyzes movements captured by cameras and detects abnormal behavior. It is a service that automatically notifies users if it determines that the user is a thief or arsonist by utilizing a video analysis solution.

To obtain KISA's intelligent CCTV certification, a system must pass hundreds of tests. "Trespassing" and "loitering" are mandatory tests, and a score of 90% or higher must be achieved in one of the following categories: "Abandonment," "Arson," "Collapse," or "Fight." SK Telecom was the first in the industry to receive certification in the highly difficult "Collapse" category.

SK Telecom's intelligent CCTV 'T View' is a service that provides functions such as ▲real-time intrusion detection ▲checking the number of people in a designated area ▲automatic image improvement in bad weather or darkness ▲camera tamper detection. Unlike most CCTV services that require separate video storage equipment such as PCs or DVRs, 'T View' is gaining popularity in the communications and security industries because it allows for safe storage and preservation of video through cloud server storage.

In particular, it has various functions to protect customer information, such as encrypting video data across the entire range from cameras to servers and customer terminals and operating multiple video storage servers.

The 'T View' service is currently being sold as 'T View Enterprise', a video security and analysis service for medium and large-sized companies, and 'T View Partner', which is provided as a solution to telecommunications/security companies. NSOK's 'N Cloud', SK Broadband's 'Cloud Cam', and S1's 'Cloud CCTV' are representative 'T View'-based services.

With this, SK Telecom has obtained both domestic and international intelligent CCTV certifications, further enhancing its technological reliability. SK Telecom obtained the highest level of intelligent CCTV certification from the UK government's 'CPNI (Center for the Protection of National Infrastructure)' in 2015, and in 2017, it became the first service in its category to obtain 'Information Security Management System (ISMS)' certification to protect customers' personal information.

SK Telecom Security Unit Director Jeong Soon-gu said, “This KISA certification is a recognition of the excellence of SK Telecom’s independently developed video analysis solution,” and added, “Based on this intelligent CCTV certification, we plan to utilize deep learning technology, which has recently been highlighted, to increase the accuracy of intelligent video analysis and evolve into an AI security service that combines IoT/5G, etc.”
