Unveiled Android App That Allows for Easy and Fast Circuit Design on Smartphones
April 27, 2012, Seoul – STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM), a global semiconductor company in various electronic device applications, [announced] the latest Android application that enables easy and fast circuit design using smartphones or tablets (
It was announced that it has launched 'ST op-amps' (app below).
The ST op-amps app was developed to support engineers designing circuits using operational amplifiers (op-amps), which are primarily used in audio, control, monitoring, and communication systems, and is available for free on the Google Play Store (formerly Android Market).
This app, which has been tested and certified, supports starting circuit design using all ST operational amplifiers within 15 seconds of launching the mobile phone, making operational amplifier selection and circuit design easier and faster.
Furthermore, ST op-amps supports intuitive mobile design accessible anytime and anywhere through built-in diagrams and guides. Navigation is simplified using touch menus and scrollable pages, and the multi-touch user interface (UI) of smartphones and tablets is utilized to its fullest potential.
Unlike apps from other companies, ST op-amps focuses on designs using operational amplifiers and offers added convenience as a native app usable without an internet connection, allowing users to easily and quickly find necessary information. Additionally, it provides links to the ST website to find additional information when using the internet.
ST op-amps can be downloaded from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.colliard.ST_opamps , and an app demonstration video is available on YouTube at http://youtu.be/stASXvFFq44 .
Meanwhile, ST also provides a Dual EE application that can read wireless tags including ST’s RF memory chips with a smartphone equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality.
