Yuhan Corporation announced that it has completed the upgrade of its existing SD-level video conferencing system to HD.

Yuhan Corporation, which has had an SD-level video conferencing system in place since 2005, has been using it for sales meetings between its headquarters and branches. However, due to many limitations in image quality and functionality, it was inconvenient to use and its effectiveness was inevitably diminished. Moreover, as the frequency of video conferencing usage increased, the introduction of a state-of-the-art system equipped with various features, including high definition and document sharing, became inevitable.

Yuhan Corporation introduced 21 units of Radvision’s Scopia Elite 5230 MCU, XT1000, and HD video codecs to its headquarters and 13 branches nationwide, and also introduced Scopia desktops to implement a personal PC video conferencing system, aiming to maximize work efficiency through the activation of video conferencing.

The upgrade of the video conferencing system has significantly improved performance and functionality, greatly increasing focus and utilization and enabling more efficient video meetings. Furthermore, security issues have been resolved through VPN connections, and management efficiency has been doubled through the use of management solutions. Video conferencing is being actively utilized for sales meetings as well as product training using document sharing features. Additionally, as it is being integrated into various fields, it is serving as a foundation for strengthening corporate competitiveness and internal communication.

The RadVision Scopia Elite 5230 supplied this time supports Full HD (1080p) resolution and is equipped with the latest error correction technology, H.264 SVC (Scalable Video Codec). It is characterized by supporting not only excellent image quality but also various functions such as HD-level 28-character screen splitting, Korean interface, and H.239 document sharing. In addition, it supports interoperability with various terminals, such as IP PBXs, voice gateways, and SIP servers, to implement a unified communications (UC) environment.

The XT1000 not only supports dual video and display in 1080p30 and 720p30 but also features a 10x zoom PTZ camera and a 3-way pod microphone to ensure seamless video conferencing. Furthermore, i-view, a video conferencing management system, has been introduced to enhance management efficiency. i-view significantly improves management efficiency by supporting various functions, including automatic equipment recognition and infrastructure map completion, online equipment status monitoring, alarm and log collection, and simultaneous upgrades and configuration changes for multiple codecs.
