Samsung Electronics and Dacor Unveil Home Appliance Lineup at 'ADDS 2018'

Samsung Electronics and Dacor participated in 'ADDS 2018' and showcased a diverse lineup of premium built-in kitchen appliances. This exhibition is a prestigious event organized by the famous American architecture and design magazine 'AD' and 'The New York Times', with over 400 companies from around the world participating and 45,000 industry professionals attending.
At this exhibition, Samsung Electronics gained popularity with its premium built-in 'Chef Collection,' which adds smart functions to a luxurious design, and Dacor's luxury built-in 'Modernist Collection.'
Samsung Electronics’ ‘Chef Collection’ is a built-in lineup that incorporates insights from the ‘Samsung Club des Chefs,’ a group of world-renowned chefs, from the product planning stage. Four of its cooking appliances—including the wall oven, gas cooktop, professional range, and combi oven—won the Innovation Award in the home appliance category at CES 2018, proving their superior product quality.
Samsung Electronics operated a 'Connected Living Zone' centered around the new 'Family Hub' refrigerator, which won the 'CES 2018 Best Innovation Award,' to allow visitors to directly experience IoT technology implemented in a home.
Dacor’s ‘Modernist’ collection, created based on Samsung Electronics’ technological prowess and Dacor’s expertise in built-in appliances, has won awards such as the ‘Great Design Award 2017’ from the American architecture and design magazine AD and the Gold Award at the German design competition ‘iF Design Award 2018’ for its modern design.
In particular, Dacor participated as an official sponsor of this event and organized a program called the 'Dacor Stage'.Experts in design and architecture attended as panelists and engaged in a heated discussion regarding the changing role of the kitchen and design trends.

Samsung Electronics Installs Basketball Court-Size LED Signage on Exterior Wall
Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with CJ PowerCast and the Korea Trade Association, has installed LED signage on the outer wall of COEX SM Town. The COEX area has been designated as Korea's first outdoor advertising free display zone and is expected to transform into a "digital media landmark" alongside its nickname as the "Korean Times Square." Samsung Electronics connected two sides of the SM Town outer wall in a curved form to install LED signage measuring 1,620 square meters (approximately 81 meters wide and 20 meters tall), equivalent to four times the size of a basketball court. Additionally, media displays made with three units of products have been constructed in the K-POP Plaza located in front of the building. The ultra-large LED signage installed on the SM Town outer wall supports industry-leading brightness of 9,000 nits and resolution equivalent to twice that of UHD (7,840 x 1,952), delivering high visibility and image quality.
