Samsung Launches 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal' Featuring Metal Solidity and Premium Premium Quality

Samsung Electronics will launch the 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal' and 'Samsung Notebook 5' in Korea on April 2 and 16, respectively. The 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal,' featuring a Light Titanium color, conveys the solidity and premium feel of metal by crafting both the top and bottom panels visible when the laptop is folded from aluminum.
In addition, the 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal' is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card, allowing it to smoothly run various graphic tasks such as photo and video editing as well as games.
The Samsung Notebook 5 comes in two modern and stylish colors, Night Charcoal and Pure White, and features an exterior design with a thickness in the 19mm range and no visible screws. In particular, the upgrade door on the bottom of the notebook is screwless, allowing anyone to expand the storage capacity themselves.
The 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal' and 'Samsung Notebook 5' are equipped with both SSDs and HDDs, providing fast speeds and ample storage capacity. The 178° wide viewing angle Full HD display features an anti-reflective panel that reduces light reflection, allowing you to enjoy various content with clear image quality in any environment, and features a full-size keyboard with a wide touchpad and numeric keypad for comfortable use even during long periods.
In addition, it is equipped with the Windows 10 operating system, the latest 8th generation Intel processor, a 39.6 cm Full HD (1920 x 1080) wide-angle display, and 8GB (or 4GB) DDR4 memory.
The 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal' and 'Samsung Notebook 5' are released in various models depending on detailed specifications such as processor, memory, and storage, and the prices are 1.67 million won for the top-of-the-line model of the 'Samsung Notebook 5 Metal', NT550XAA-X78, and 1.07 million won for the top-of-the-line model of the 'Samsung Notebook 5', NT550EAA-K54A.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
