Cubicon held the '2018 Tech Day & Launch Show' and unveiled the Dual Pro A30C, an industrial 3D printer equipped with a dual-function printer.

The A30C utilizes FFF (Fusion Filled Fabrication) technology, allowing for two-color printing on a single object through its dual nozzles. Simultaneous printing of objects and supports made of different materials is also possible. Specifically, when creating a support with water-soluble filament, the support can be dissolved in water after printing, allowing you to obtain only the desired object.

Additionally, the 3D printer's extruder features a detachable, interchangeable design, allowing extruders capable of varying temperatures to be swapped out to suit the material being printed. It can print a wide range of industrial materials, from soft plastics to engineering plastics used in high-strength parts, up to 300mm x 300mm x 300mm in size.

Choi Doo-won, CEO of HiVision Systems, said, “Qbicone believes that the 3D printing field requires a variety of output methods, from large to small. “As we focus on quickly printing large items and precisely printing small items, a variety of printing methods have become important,” he said.

He said, “The day when 3D printing technology will become necessary for manufacturing is not far off,” and “To this end, we plan to continuously strengthen our capabilities by developing printing materials and related software.”

The Dual Pro is a full-fledged industrial printer capable of large-area printing. Its bed flatness measurement and powerful temperature function enable high-temperature printing. To coincide with the launch of the Dual Pro, the Cubicrator has been upgraded to version 4.0. This version adds key features tailored to the Dual, complementing the existing 3.0 functionality. Support features such as increased pattern diversity and improved screen quality have been enhanced to meet customer needs.

The event also showcased products such as the Dual Pro A30C, Style 220C, and Single Plus 320C, which feature replaceable nozzle kits for existing products.

Cubicon CEO Kim Gap-cheol said, “With the launch of the Cubicon Dual Pro-A30C, we expect to further strengthen our dominance in the 3D printer market,” and added, “Along with the expansion of the market share of the Cubicon series, sales growth is also increasing rapidly, and we believe we will easily achieve our sales target of 10 billion won this year.” He continued, “We will actively target both the domestic and global markets by developing new technologies and launching differentiated products.”

Meanwhile, Qbicone has already secured competitiveness in 3D printer materials through business agreements with leading companies in the materials field, such as Sebang Industry and Jogwang Paint. The company plans to expand its business into the metal printer market through its investment in 3D Controls, which has metal powder technology.
