Wearing a dive computer on the wrist... 'Descent MK1'

Garmin announced the release of the 'Descent MK1,' a smartwatch-style dive computer.
The Descent MK1 is equipped with a highly readable color display in all environments, allowing for accurate verification of surrounding terrain underwater and automatic recording of entry and exit points.
By utilizing various functions such as a 3-axis compass, gyroscope, GPS, and GLONASS, it is possible to accurately check essential information for safely enjoying diving underwater, such as current depth, water temperature, diving time, NDL/TTS, ascent/descent speed, oxygen partial pressure, and decompression time, making it useful for everyone from beginners to professional divers in recreational diving, technical diving, and free diving.
In particular, unlike conventional diving tools, it features a watch-like form factor that allows users to conveniently check essential information by operating buttons or double-tapping the screen, and it can be used as a smartwatch in daily life.
It features a 'breath-hold' mode for recreational and free divers and a 'breath-hold hunting' mode for divers who enjoy spearfishing (a sport where you catch fish with a spear gun while diving), and supports up to six modes including oxygen, nitrox, and trimix. In addition, safe diving is possible by adopting the 'Bühlmann ZHL-16c' algorithm, which has been thoroughly proven underwater.
When the Descent MK1 is worn on a diver's bare wrist, the Garmin Elevate wrist heart rate function measures pulse and exercise levels, and automatically uploads diving records to the Garmin Connect app for detailed analysis later.
In addition to providing the information necessary for diving, the Descent MK1 supports features for sports, fitness, and outdoor activities. Its wide range of built-in exercise modes, including swimming, running, cycling, hiking, skiing, and paddleboarding, helps users enjoy a healthy lifestyle even outside of the water.
When connected to a compatible smartphone, you can check incoming text messages, emails, and social media notifications directly on your wrist, and download your desired watch faces, apps, and data fields for free from the Connect IQ™ Store.
The Descent MK1, featuring a durable sapphire lens, has a stainless steel bezel and a silicone band. The QuickFit™ band, which allows for quick tool-free replacement, can be conveniently worn with a longer band for thick wetsuits and as a standard band for everyday use.
With strong battery performance, the Descent MK1 can be used for up to 18 days in watch mode, 10 days in smartwatch mode, 36 hours in dive mode, 20 hours in GPS mode, and 28 hours in UltraTrac power saving mode, and boasts an EN13319 100-meter water resistance rating.
