'Art Mode' displays paintings, photographs, and other artworks even when the TV is turned off

An exhibition featuring photographer Koo Bom-chang's works displayed through Samsung Electronics' innovative lifestyle TV 'The Frame' will be held in Milan, Italy.

The exhibition centers on the theme of 'water,' capturing the ripples of water that give life and unchanging identity. It will run for approximately one month starting from the 12th (local time) at Acquario Civico, an aquarium in Milan.

The 'Milan Furniture Fair' will be held from April 17th to 22nd, during which various exhibitions by renowned artists will take place in Milan.

Photographer Koo Bom-chang has received the Presidential Commendation of the Republic of Korea Cultural and Arts Award in recognition of his contributions to Korean photographic art.



Samsung's 'The Frame' is a new lifestyle TV that allows consumers to naturally encounter artworks in their everyday lives through 'Art Mode,' which displays paintings, photographs, and other artworks even when the TV is turned off, and 'Frame Design,' which harmonizes with any installation space.

'The Frame's 'Art Mode' is evaluated as an optimal display for expressing artworks because it can showcase the unique texture of canvas that conventional TVs and displays could not capture.

Additionally, utilizing 'ambient light sensor' technology that optimizes artwork colors based on surrounding brightness, the display will perfectly reproduce the calm water surface and subtle ripples of water that photographer Koo Bom-chang seeks to express.

Photographer Koo Bom-chang stated, "'The Frame' features a design reminiscent of a framed picture, making it well-suited to exhibition spaces, and it enables more effective presentation of artworks, which is why we decided to utilize it for this exhibition. I hope visitors will create and take away many wonderful memories."

Meanwhile, it is also possible to appreciate photographer Koo Bom-chang's works through Samsung's 'The Frame' domestically. In 'Art Mode,' viewers can appreciate approximately 700 artworks by renowned artists worldwide, including works by photographer Koo Bom-chang.
