Unveiled 'Giga Secure Platform,' a Security Platform Capable of Big Data Analysis

KT announced that it is taking a leap forward as a global security platform operator by participating in the world's largest security exhibition, 'RSA Conference 2018,' held in San Francisco, USA, from the 16th to the 20th (local time).

The RSA Conference is the world's largest security conference attended by major global security companies, and the theme for 2018 is 'Now Matters,' signifying that security is a critical factor that directly impacts business. This marks KT's second participation in the exhibition, following the 'RSA® Conference 2017 AP&J' held in Singapore in 2017.

At this conference, KT will showcase integrated security services based on its 'GiGA secure platform,' a security platform capable of big data analysis, to the global market. In addition, the company plans to introduce 'GiGA secure wizNAC,' a cloud-based network access control service; 'System Access Control' through user authentication; and 'GiGA secure Security Monitoring,' a platform-based remote security monitoring service.

Once the reorganization of the 'GiGA secure wizNAC' service is completed at the end of April, customers will be able to manage their in-house IT assets through network control without installing any equipment. Through this exhibition, KT plans to promote the excellence of its Giga Secure Platform to the global market, while also holding cooperation meetings with major global security companies to identify new business opportunities.

Song Jae-ho, Head of KT’s Integrated Security Business Unit, stated, “KT will leverage the strengths of a telecommunications service provider to offer integrated security services through collaboration with various security providers. Based on network operation know-how and KT’s proprietary big data as a telecommunications operator, we will effectively prevent sophisticated attacks and ensure the business continuity of our customers.”
