Element14 has further strengthened its instrumentation lineup with the addition of the Aim TTi TGF3000 Series dual-channel arbitrary function generator.

The TGF3000 series consists of new products from Aim-TTi that offer best-in-class performance and cost-effectiveness among the 160 MHz and 80 MHz product lines.

Specifically, the TG3082 (dual-channel, 80 MHz, 14-bit/400 MS/s) and TG3162 (dual-channel, 160 MHz, 16-bit/800 MS/s) models, which feature two identical performance channels that can operate as independent generators or in coupled/tracked mode, will be released first. These models offer a resolution of 0.001°, enabling precise channel-to-channel phase control. In addition to native support for a wide range of waveforms, custom arbitrary waveforms can also be used at sampling rates up to 800 MS/s and replay rates up to 80 MHz.

Arbitrary waveform generation and editing software for PC use is also provided. It can generate high-resolution, low-jitter pulses, and its noise function allows for wideband Gaussian noise and crest factors of five or more at bandwidths up to 100 MHz. It also provides a very wide modulation range using internal and external sources. Gated, burst, and sweep modes can also be applied to internal and external trigger sources. Remote control is possible via LXI-compliant LAN (standard) and USB, with GPIB for enhanced control capabilities if required.

It supports frequencies up to 160 MHz and resolutions of 15 digits or 1 μHz, and is capable of wideband noise generation and high-resolution pulse generation. It supports a wide range of internal/external digital and analog modulation, USB or LXI compatible LAN interfaces, and GPIB interfaces.
