Digi-Key Electronics announced that it now offers unlimited access to Ultra Librarian symbols, footprints, and 3D STEP models on its website.

“To better serve our customers, we’ve been working with EMA to remove download limits on Ultra Librarian EDA and CAD models,” said Randall Restle, vice president of applications engineering at Digi-Key. “With models available for over 1.25 million parts, Digi-Key customers will be able to download the majority of the models they need for their designs, significantly reducing design cycle time.”

Ultra Librarian offers models in over 20 EDA and CAD formats that can be utilized in a wide range of PCB design tools, including Altium, Eagle, KiCad, OrCAD, and PADS.
Models are built using Ultra Librarian desktop software, which leverages a sophisticated combination of features including templates, PDF extraction, and validation algorithms to quickly capture information on all required key components. To ensure the highest levels of accuracy, consistency, and compliance with IPC and other standards, models undergo over 30 different validation procedures, many of which follow the validation procedures of individual device manufacturers.
