Reset timers prevent unintended resets by providing a delay between when a button or key is pressed and when the system is reset. This new family of reset timers is designed to offer various delay times for mobile device resets, as well as product options such as fixed and selectable delays, single or dual-button resets, and fixed or variable reset pulse widths.
The FT7522 and FT10001 provide fixed delays of 7.5 seconds and 10 seconds, respectively, and provide inputs for single-button reset performance. The FT3001 offers design flexibility through two inputs for single or dual-button reset performance, as well as four different delay values selectable via the DSR0 and DSR1 pins. All devices operate over a power supply range of 1.65V to 5.0V and consume minimal supply current in idle state, making them optimized for use in portable devices where battery saving features are essential.
