EcoStruxure Building: 30% Increase in Process Efficiency and 20% Reduction in Installation Time

Schneider Electric has unveiled the latest version of its next-generation solution, EcoStruxure Building, the industry's first open innovation platform for building management.

EcoStruxure Building is part of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure, an integrated energy management solution and open platform. It also features enhanced interconnectivity via the Internet of Things (IoT), enabling rapid commissioning and modifications. This is expected to increase building premiums by up to 15%.

Specifically, the newly launched EcoStruxure Building includes four new technologies: EcoStruxure Building Advisor, an application that enables condition-based maintenance and remote control; EcoStruxure Building Operations 2.0, an edge control product with enhanced cybersecurity; and the SmartX IP Controller and SmartX Living Space Sensor, which leverage industry standards and IP-based open protocols.

This solution can increase process efficiency by up to 30% and its simple installation reduces installation time by up to 20%. Additionally, as the scope of management and operation expands, real-time monitoring is possible for areas more than 10 times larger than before, allowing facility managers to manage buildings more efficiently and quickly.

By implementing EcoStruxure Building, building facility managers can monitor the status and flow of assets at a glance, enabling predictive and proactive operational management. This allows them to quickly identify the cause of problems, enabling swift response. Furthermore, it includes features to optimize space configurations, enabling efficient building management. Consequently, this system can deliver 30% energy savings, 25% increased space utilization, and 29% improved predictability of unexpected issues.

EcoStruxure building solutions have been implemented in a variety of commercial buildings by leading domestic and international companies. These include The Edge, the European headquarters of global accounting firm Deloitte, the T-Mobile Arena in the US, and the Gwanghwamun D Tower in South Korea. Furthermore, Tottenham Hotspur, an English Premier League soccer club, plans to use the system in its upcoming home stadium, London's largest. Additionally, EcoStruxure solutions currently support over 20,000 system integrators and are deployed in over 480,000 installations, connecting over 1.5 million facilities.
