Technology briefings and technology transfer consultations with small and medium-sized enterprises in the ICT sector

The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) will participate in the '2018 ICT Technology Commercialization Festival' held at COEX in Seoul for four days starting on the 23rd, and will showcase the commercialization results and the latest ICT that will lead the future together with commercialization cooperation small and medium-sized enterprises.

At this festival, ETRI will exhibit 21 cutting-edge technologies that can be immediately commercialized, including ▲Zero UI automatic interpretation ▲small cell-based mobile base station ▲deep learning-based identity recognition capable of multi-angle recognition ▲image AI analysis and protection technology.

In addition, products from 18 technology startup and commercialization cooperation companies will be exhibited, including ▲professional disease and biomarker measurement system (Suzentech Co., Ltd.), ▲virtual reality experiential edutainment education (JSC Co., Ltd.), ▲unconscious sensor-based sleep improvement service (Bytels Co., Ltd.), and ▲next-generation intelligent transportation system (ITS) communication device (RCN Co., Ltd.).

In addition, during the festival, ETRI will hold various events for 'communication and cooperation' with ICT SMEs, including technology exhibitions, promising technology commercialization briefings, technology transfer consultations, technology commercialization success story presentations, and talent recruitment briefings.

SMEs participating in the festival will be able to hear about ETRI's readily commercializable technologies at the Promising Commercialization Technology Briefing Session. They will also receive advice on the commercialization process and methods, including technology transfer and technical support for each technology. ETRI's commercialization consulting will continue to be held at the ETRI Hall within the event venue throughout the event period.

This festival will also include a talent recruitment consultation session to help recruit young talent. ETRI will explain its recruitment direction and policies and hold consultation sessions to recruit outstanding researchers in the ICT field.

ETRI Commercialization Division Director Bae Moon-sik said, "We organized this event to share the research institute's achievements with the public and with companies pursuing commercialization. We hope this event will provide practical assistance to ICT companies."

Meanwhile, the 2018 ICT Technology Commercialization Festival is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and co-hosted by five organizations, including ETRI and the Information and Communications Technology Promotion Center (IITP). The event will be held in COEX Halls A3 and A4.
