Sharing know-how with Palo Alto's security specialist organization Unit 42
On the 7th (local time), Palo Alto Networks signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) at its headquarters in Santa Clara, California, USA, to strengthen cooperation in sharing global cyber threat information and incident response.

KISA has decided to strengthen its cooperation with Palo Alto Networks to address global cybersecurity threats. KISA and Palo Alto have agreed to collaborate closely in areas such as the exchange of cybersecurity information and knowledge, the exchange of intelligence and expertise for research and analysis of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and the building of trust to promote cooperation in incident response and information sharing.

To strengthen cybersecurity intelligence, the KISA Cyber Security Center (KISC) plans to create synergy in responding to and preventing cyber incidents by sharing cyber incident analysis information and know-how with Unit42, a security expert organization in Palo Alto. Unit 42 conducts research on cyberattack methods and analyzes breach incidents.

“With the security environment rapidly changing, we expect our collaboration with KISA to enable us to respond more effectively to cyberattacks,” said Simon Green, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, Palo Alto Networks.

Lee Jae-il, head of KISA's Cyber Security Response Headquarters, said, "We will actively respond to the increasingly sophisticated cyber threats of the Fourth Industrial Revolution through close cooperation and rapid information sharing with global cybersecurity companies."
