Added over 14,000 IA parts
Expansion of the lineup to 15 new models
DigiKey Electronics, an electronic component distributor, is continuously expanding its supply of Industrial Automation (IA) components.

DigiKey has added more than 14,000 IA components to its portfolio, including categories such as sensors, cables, safety devices, control monitors, relays, timers, switches, lighting, and controllers.

In addition to the product lines of existing DigiKey manufacturers such as Omron, TE, Panasonic, and Molex, 15 new lineups were added, including products from Altec, Sieck, IDEC, Carlo Gabazzi, and Belden.

"Digi-Key aims to establish itself as an industry leader and a single supplier of IA products and solutions for customers worldwide," said Eric Wendt, Head of Strategic Program Development for Industrial Automation at Digi-Key. "IA is a broad industrial sector that complements current products and plays a critical role in building automation, factories, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Digi-Key intends to partner with designers and buyers in these applications to help innovate and enhance the functionality of systems, processes, and machinery."

Meanwhile, DigiKey recently updated its IA start page to provide more graphic links and added a feature to search for related parts. This page is also more convenient to use on mobile devices, allowing users to find and order the parts they need immediately at any time.
