Expansion of the small cell wireless infrastructure power amplifier product family
June 14, 2012, Seoul – ANADIGICS, Inc. (Korea Representative: Kyung-Min Kim), a global leader in radio frequency (RF) solutions, today launched the small cell power amplifiers (PAs) AWB7125 and AWB7225. The AWB7125 and AWB7225 PAs are optimized for Band 5 WCDMA and LTE applications, including picocells, enterprise-class femtocells, and high-performance customer home equipment (CPE). The complete family of ANADIGICS small cell power amplifiers delivers industry-leading high output power, efficiency, and linearity.
Glenn Eswein, Director of Product Marketing for Anadigics’ Broadband RF Products, stated, “As mobile data usage surges, mobile operators are seeking cost-effective ways to increase network capacity, particularly in densely populated geographic locations. Small cell devices such as picocells and femtocells provide cost-effective, high-performance solutions that mobile operators can deploy rapidly.” Anadigics’ small cell power amplifiers have been developed for these applications and support wireless infrastructure solutions that offer superior thermal efficiency, low power consumption, high throughput, and extended coverage and range.
The AWB7125 wireless infrastructure PA provides +24.5 dBm linear output power, and the AWB7225 provides +27 dBm linear output power. These two power amplifiers are optimized for WCDMA, HSPA, and LTE small cell base stations in the 860 MHz to 894 MHz frequency band. Anadigics' complete family of small cell wireless infrastructure power amplifiers is manufactured using its proprietary InGaP-Plus™ technology to achieve best-in-class efficiency, linearity, and thermal performance.
Key Characteristics of Anadigics AWB7125 and AWB7225 PAs:
