LeCroy Announces Signal Integrity Software Package Providing Analysis and Simulation

August 10, 2011 ---- LeCroy (Country Manager Woon-jae Lee, www.lecroy.co.kr ), a global leader in oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and serial data test solutions, today expanded its signal integrity product line with the announcement of “SI Studio (Signal Integrity Studio).” SI Studio is signal integrity measurement software added to the LeCroy SPARQ network analyzer and can be used in conjunction with SPARQ or as standalone software.

Economical Signal Integrity Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation
SI Studio was developed for engineers seeking to utilize the measurement, modeling, and simulation capabilities of S-parameter-defined systems within a reasonable budget. This software rapidly analyzes the eye diagram behavior and jitter resolution characteristics of serial data channels. Users can measure S-parameters using a LeCroy SPARQ network analyzer or import Touchstone files into VNAs or S-parameter modeling/simulation tools. First, users select whether to emulate or deemphasize the channel; then, they simulate the problematic serial data signal to set pre-emphasis or de-emphasis and model the equalization used by the receiver. Based on this configuration, an eye diagram is generated, and the results of the eye and jitter analysis are displayed.

Available as standalone software
SI Studio can be purchased as a software option for the SPARQ network analyzer or as standalone software. When purchased as the SPARQ option (SPARQ-SISTUDIO), users can connect this software to SPARQ to utilize all the features of SI Studio, but a multi-seat license is not provided. The SPARQ software can be downloaded and used from the LeCroy website at no additional cost.

The analysis, modeling, and simulation functions of SI Studio are identical to those of the SPARQ-SISTUDIO option, and all features of SI Studio supported by the SPARQ application software can be accessed via a USB license key.
