(Changzhou, China, October 31, 2018 PRNewswire=Yonhapnews) Trina Solar Limited, a leading enterprise providing comprehensive solar energy solutions ("Trina Solar" or "the Company"), announced today that it has supplied PV modules totaling 17MW to Europe's largest floating PV power plant.

The 'O'MEGA 1' PV project was developed by Akuo Energy, a leading independent renewable energy generation company in France, according to special conditions of the France CRE4.1 tender. Akuo Energy won the tender with Trina Solar's low-carbon footprint modules. This power plant in Piolenc (Vaucluse) will produce 100% renewable energy for consumption by more than 4,700 households upon completion. Constructed across a 17-hectare site, the power plant is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 11,100 tons annually.

'O'MEGA 1' is powered by more than 46,000 units of Trina Solar TSM-DEG14.20(II) dual-glass PERC monocrystalline modules in the low-carbon footprint version. The DUOMAX M Plus modules deliver high output performance in utility-scale large solar power plants. Offered with industry-leading 1500V UL/IEC rating, the DUOMAX M Plus's superior efficiency and high power density withstand challenging environmental conditions while ensuring maximum energy output.
