VEE Technology-Equipped CSSP Applied to Kyocera's Latest 'URBANO PROGRESSO' Smartphone
Published2012.06.19 12:47June 19, 2012 - QuickLogic Corporation, a leading company in the low-power CSSP (Customer Specific Standard Products) sector, announced today that its ArcticLink® II VX4 CSSP based on VEE (Visual Enhancement Engine) and DPO (Display Power Optimizer) technology has been applied to Kyocera Corporation's latest 'URBANO PROGRESSO' smartphone. The VX4 CSSP also integrates an integrated MDDI (Mobile Display Digital Interface) client for communication with Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor and Framebuffer for display content refresh.
The URBANO PROGRESSO, announced on May 15, 2012 and beginning to be supplied in Japan from May 30, 2012, features Android 4.0 and a 4-inch OLED Luminous Display®.
With the combination of the 4-inch OLED 'Luminous Display' and QuickLogic's VEE and DPO technology, URBANO PROGRESSO users can now enjoy extended battery life along with excellent viewing conditions even under very bright ambient lighting.
