Analog Devices announced on the 14th a comprehensive suite of Industry 4.0 solutions designed to enable industrial equipment manufacturers to rapidly develop Industry 4.0 equipment. These new solutions empower today's existing factory infrastructure with next-generation flexibility, connectivity, and efficiency.
ADI now offers new hardware-based identity solutions that implement security at the network edge within factory control loops and enhance the security capabilities of field-installed devices to ensure they meet security standards and requirements. These new solutions are integrated into real-time Ethernet multiprotocol switches that support TSN features such as time synchronization (802.1 AS) and frame preemption (802.1Qbu/br), and control industrial applications via Open Platform Communication-Unified Architecture (OPC-UA). By combining security and TSN capabilities, ADI is enabling innovative field device communication solutions at the edge of industrial networks in an easy-to-use model that accelerates customers' product launches and Industry 4.0 adoption.

The ADcmXL3021 module, a sensing system based on ADI's MEMS sensor technology, improves productivity and reduces equipment repair needs by monitoring early signs of wear and tear on machinery in industrial and transportation equipment. This 3-axis vibration sensing module combines a MEMS sensor with several signal processing functions in a compact form factor, simplifying the development of smart sensor nodes for CbM systems and significantly reducing the bill of materials.

Symeo GmbH, a subsidiary of ADI, recently announced the LPR-1DHP-200 family of 60 GHz industrial radar sensors. This next-generation positioning system features high-precision, robust one-dimensional distance measurement capabilities with millimeter-range accuracy for advanced automation, transportation, and manufacturing applications.
