Universal Robots announced on the 17th that it had won the 'AutoRevista 2018 Technology Innovation Award' from AutoRevista, a leading Spanish automotive industry media outlet, in recognition of its contributions to the automotive industry.

This award is presented annually by AutoRevista to individuals or companies that have made significant contributions to the automation industry. Through this award, Universal Robots has been honored with induction into the Hall of Fame alongside leading automation industry companies such as Siemens, Bosch, Bayer, BASF, Hexagon Metrology, and ZF.
An AutoRevista official explained the reason for Universal Robots' award, stating, "Universal Robots has brought a groundbreaking change to the robotics industry," and adding, "Collaborative robots have significantly increased the efficiency of specific production processes within the automotive industry, and they have made a great contribution to the value of future technology and the greater growth of companies."
First published in 1959, Auto Revista is the only media outlet in Spain covering the problems facing the automotive industry, and is a specialized monthly publication that covers the entire automotive industry, including OEMs, R&D, raw material suppliers, logistics, new technologies, and industrial equipment. AutoRevista has over 30,000 readers and is a media outlet targeting automotive manufacturers, automotive parts and equipment suppliers, and other business stakeholders.
Jordi Pelegri, Business Development Manager for Spain & Portugal at Universal Robots, who attended the awards ceremony, stated, "Innovation was possible because many automotive companies trusted us and believed that the robotics industry could do more," adding, "Leading companies such as Mann+Hummel, Continental, Nissan, and Groupe PSA are already reaping significant benefits from using Universal Robots' collaborative robots."
He also shared his thoughts on the award, stating, "Such a success story of collaborative robots being used in the automotive industry has served as a stepping stone for Universal Robots to expand into other industries," and added, "I extend my deep gratitude to the users and partners of Universal Robots, with over 27,000 units installed worldwide."

Leveraging TI C2000 for Industrial Servo Controller and AC Inverter Design
