4K UHD Ultra Short Throw Projector Unveiled at CES 2019
You can output a 120-inch large screen even with a short projection distance.

According to market research firm PMA (Pacific Media Associates), sales of UHD resolution products in the home cinema projector market are expected to surpass sales of FHD resolution products in 2019.

Accordingly, LG Electronics will unveil an ultra-high-definition 4K UHD ultra-short throw projector at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2019) held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 8 to 12, 2019.
The 'LG CineBeam Laser 4K' projector (HU85L) features ultra-short throw technology that displays a large screen even at a short projection distance.

It displays a 120-inch large screen even with only 18cm between the product and the wall or screen. A short projection distance makes the product easy to install and is advantageous because people or pets passing by do not block the screen.

This product features 4K UHD (3,840X2,160) resolution and a screen brightness of up to 2,500 ANSI lumens, delivering vivid image quality with a clear and bright screen.

The HU85L is the first LG projector to feature voice recognition AI capabilities, equipped with LG Electronics' AI technology, 'ThinQ'. Users can conveniently operate the product using only voice commands while holding down the microphone button on the remote, such as "Show me a movie starring Scarlett Johansson," "Play the news when it starts," "Connect the set-top box," or "Turn it off when the movie ends."

It also offers excellent ease of installation. With dimensions of 680mm wide, 347mm deep, and 128mm high, it is the smallest among projectors in its class. The short length of the product makes it easy to install on cabinets and does not detract from the interior design.

Users can also easily adjust the screen into a perfect rectangular shape. When a projector is first installed, the screen often appears skewed or trapezoidal. Since most projectors only allow adjustment of the four corners, it was difficult to create a rectangular shape. With the HU85L, users can adjust the screen at a total of 12 points along the edges, allowing them to precisely create a perfectly straight image.

LG Electronics has applied backlighting to the remote control buttons. This was done in consideration of the fact that conventional remote control buttons are difficult to see when watching a projector in a dark environment.
