Established to formalize 30 years of charitable work
In collaboration with the Boston Museum of Science, the American Red Cross, and others.
PTC announced on the 26th that it has established the PTC Foundation.

The PTC Foundation was established to formalize PTC's philanthropic efforts over the past 30 years, focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education and community and employee service.

The PTC Foundation empowers PTC employees to make a positive impact in their communities, furthering PTC's mission of "Create a Better Reality."

“Using innovation for good is our role as a leading technology company,” said Jim Heppelmann, PTC President and CEO. “PTC is proud to empower our employees to make a positive impact in their communities while providing technical and financial support.”

The PTC Foundation will focus its charitable giving in the following three areas:
First, STEM education. Investing in future generations of workers, leaders, and innovators is a natural fit for PTC. PTC already partners with organizations such as FIRST, Girls Who Code, and the Boston Museum of Science. As a strategic partner of FIRST, PTC provides financial, product, and service support to teams participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition, inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators.

Next is community. PTC has long given back to the communities where its employees work through corporate grants and disaster relief funds. The PTC Foundation will continue these efforts and identify causes that contribute to shared goals.

Organizations PTC has supported in the past include City Year Boston, PanMass Challenge, and the American Red Cross. Through its partnership with City Year Boston, PTC sponsors City Year Corps Members, a year-long volunteer team, providing educational support and mentoring to students in the Boston Public School System.

Lastly, there is employee service. Employees can volunteer their time during the two volunteer days offered each year, participate in various charity events during PTC's annual Week of Caring, and make personal donations to nonprofit organizations in addition to company-connected donations.
Park Hye-kyung, CEO of PTC Korea, said, “With the establishment of the foundation, we plan to steadily expand our talent development and social contribution activities in Korea,” adding, “PTC Korea is running internship and mentoring programs to strengthen the digital capabilities of students with creative ideas, and we are encouraging various volunteer activities at the company level.”

Meanwhile, PTC Korea visited Cheongun Daycare Center during Care Week to practice community sharing, delivering sponsored items and Christmas gifts, and helping to maintain facilities to prepare for the winter cold wave.
