Getting Started with RTOS! - Lesson 1. Basic Terminology and Scheduling of RTOS
This webinar will help you understand what RTOS is by working together with you based on FreeRTOS, which can be considered the representative Open RTOS that is currently popular among engineers.
Previously, microcontroller control programs (firmware) for small-scale applications were developed on a Non-OS basis without an operating system. As the IoT era approaches, microcontrollers are becoming increasingly complex, connecting processors and control systems to communication infrastructure such as the Internet, and are now demanding advanced features like file systems and GUIs found in PCs.
While these features can be developed using Non-OS based firmware, doing so can result in complex programs, and may cause complications in design, implementation, and more importantly, management and team-based operations. A small-scale OS called RTOS helps drive development projects more easily and quickly compared to Non-OS firmware targets.
