Suaralab Demonstrates Machine Vision Defect Inspection SW "Suakit" at 'Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition 2019'

Suaralab announced on the 25th that it will participate in the 'Smart Factory + Automation World 2019' held at COEX in Seoul for three days from the 27th to the 29th.

SuaLab will not only exhibit its flagship product, ‘SuaKIT’, at this exhibition, but will also introduce the product in more detail to visitors through demonstration equipment and videos.
Suakit is a machine vision defect inspection software based on deep learning. It can detect irregular and non-standard defects that could not be detected with conventional machine vision inspection by utilizing deep learning. It can be applied to product inspection in various industries, including not only the electrical and electronic industries such as displays, semiconductors, and solar power, but also the automobile and food and beverage industries.
On the 29th, the last day of the exhibition, Suaralab Director Lee Dong-hee will hold a seminar on the topic of ‘Major industrial applications of deep learning technology.’ Director Lee Dong-hee will introduce a methodology for utilizing deep learning and provide specific examples of how deep learning is being used in various industries, including manufacturing.
Meanwhile, SuaLab reorganized the solution development team and vision team last year and is focusing on research to improve deep learning performance, and plans to release SuaKit v2.3 in June. SuaKit v2.3 will feature changes such as performance improvements, added functions, and user-friendly GUI upgrades.

Teledyne e2v Launches 5-Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor for Machine Vision, Capable of Streaming 50-FPS Video in 10-Bit
Teledyne e2v has launched a new 5-megapixel Emerald CMOS image sensor. The Emerald 5M was developed for machine vision, automated optical inspection, and factory automation applications that require converting moving objects into high-resolution images. Available in both monochrome and color versions, the sensor adopts a low-noise 2.8μm global shutter pixel design with an optical format of 1/1.8 inch. It features a 2560 x 1936 pixel array and can stream 50 frames of video at 10-bit resolution through a 4-wire MIPI CSI-2 interface.
