Schneider Electric announced on the 27th that it plans to actively expand the smart factory market with its software-based 'Advisor' solution.
At the 'Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition 2019' held for three days from the 27th to the 29th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, Schneider Electric showcased its integrated solution technology capabilities in the smart factory field with the architecture platform 'EcoStruxure' as its main concept.

On the first day of the exhibition, Schneider Electric held a press conference and introduced 'EcoStruxure for Industry,' an IoT-based integrated architecture platform that encompasses power management, process automation, and service fields for the construction of future domestic smart factories.

“Domestic automation solutions are currently experiencing remarkable rapid growth,” said Sang-ho Lee, head of the industrial automation division at Schneider Electric Korea. “In 2019, Schneider Electric will develop strategies to respond to customers’ digital transformation.” “We plan to continuously expand EcoStructure to provide a driving force for the growth of domestic smart factories,” he said.

He continued, “Schneider Electric has a powerful industry-standard IoT-based platform that facilitates the integration of IT (information technology) and OT (operational technology),” adding, “In particular, the ‘Advisor’ product line helps customers strengthen their capabilities at all levels, including remote management, data analysis, and predictive maintenance capabilities.”
Schneider Electric's Advisor product line consists of ▲'EcoStruxure Augmented Operator Advisor' that incorporates AR technology ▲'EcoStruxure Machine Advisor' that enables monitoring of equipment manufactured worldwide ▲'Secure Power and Cooling, Electrical Distribution' predictive maintenance solution ▲'EcoStruxure Power Advisor' and 'Building Advisor' for improving power networks and operations in the field.

Schneider Electric launched its industrial automation operating interface unit and control equipment brand, Pro-face, 30 years ago and has since continued to evolve it. A multi-layered security consulting service was introduced to control and prevent unauthorized internal and external access required for data analysis and to implement a "defense-in-depth" operational platform.

“While numerous manufacturers are announcing initiatives in the IIoT space, they are hesitant to build smart factories due to uncertainty and cost burdens,” said the head of the headquarters. “Customized planning and execution are necessary to strengthen manufacturers’ capabilities to keep pace with rapidly advancing technologies.”

Schneider Electric continued, “We plan to continue to introduce diversified product and service plans to help customers proactively respond to the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
