Moxa held its Asia IIoT Solution Partner Forum in Seoul on the 16th. Moxa's solution and Asia-Pacific channel partners gathered at the event to share their IIoT implementation and application experiences.

By adopting IIoT, manufacturers can maintain their competitiveness by improving operational efficiency and productivity. To achieve these goals, they need solutions that: ▲intelligence OT machines, ▲connect OT machines and devices to IT systems or applications in the cloud, ▲transmit OT data through a secure network infrastructure, and ▲analyze and report on OT data.

At this event, Mossa announced its edge-to-cloud connectivity solution and industrial cybersecurity solution for IIoT applications.

Mossa's Asia IIoT Solution Partner Forum brought together numerous Mossa solution partners from Korea, Taiwan, Russia, Australia, and Japan to share success stories and insights on IIoT applications. In particular, Soltech System and NEONEXSoft participated from Korea.

By working with solution partners, Mossa can more comprehensively support customers through the development of IIoT applications, beyond just industrial connectivity and computing solutions.


Cloud connectivity solutions spanning OT and IT
There are several challenges that must be overcome to implement IIoT.

Today, industrial devices and machines are not only connected to the Internet, but also to public or private clouds. By leveraging cloud connectivity and computing, IT equipment and maintenance costs can be significantly reduced on the factory floor, while IIoT can improve production and maintenance efficiency.

To meet the demands of IIoT applications, Mossa provides cloud connectivity solutions such as IIoT gateways, smart Ethernet remote I/O, protocol gateways, and edge computers.

By using these solutions, OT systems using various OT protocol devices such as serial, I/O, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP can easily connect to IT systems or applications on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon, and Alibaba Cloud, and analyze and monitor them through MQTT and RESTful APIs.


ICS Security Box Protects OT and IT from Cyberattacks
Implementing the IIoT requires connecting OT and IT network infrastructure. Early industrial control system networks were physically separated, making them virtually immune to cyberattacks.

However, with the emergence of IIoT and digital transformation, cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated as all manufacturing facilities and devices are connected to the network. Therefore, everyone from IT to OT wants a solution that can improve industrial cybersecurity.

Mossa has established the TXOne network in partnership with cybersecurity solutions specialist TrendMicro. TXOne focuses on meeting the security needs of IIoT environments, including smart factories, smart cities, and smart energy.

The 'ICS (Industrial Control System) Security Box Series' introduced by Mossa at the Solution Partner Forum is a next-generation industrial intrusion prevention system (IPS) developed by TXOne.

The ICS Security Box allows customers to ▲protect PC-based key assets such as computers, HMIs, and controllers from cybersecurity threats, ▲provide OT visibility and cybersecurity monitoring and protection capabilities, and ▲use IT-OT collaboration capabilities.
