Running VMware workloads on the Google Cloud Platform is now possible.
Google Cloud and VMware announced on the 31st a new service, 'Google Cloud VMware Solution by CloudSimple,' which allows customers to run their VMware workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The newly launched Google Cloud VMware Solution by CloudSimple gives customers the choice and flexibility to run their VMware workloads anywhere—on-premises, in a hybrid architecture, or in the cloud.
Google Cloud VMware Solution by CloudSimple is designed and operated by CloudSimple, a VMware certified cloud partner, and is serviced using VMware Cloud Foundation infrastructure software running on GCP.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said, “We’ve seen many customers run mission-critical workloads, including VMware workloads, on Google Cloud.“We want to run our technical workloads,” he said. “Through the collaboration between Google Cloud and VMware, customers can use their VMware workloads as is, while taking advantage of Google Cloud’s core competencies such as infrastructure with security, performance suitability, global high availability, AI, machine learning, and analytics.”
“VMware and Google Cloud’s collaboration is driven by a commitment to continually addressing customer needs,” said Sanjay Poonen, chief operating officer, Customer Operations, VMware. “This expanded partnership is designed to enable our mutual customers to run VMware workloads on VMware Cloud Foundation on GCP.”
“With VMware on GCP, customers can seamlessly and securely execute and operate their cloud strategies and rapidly launch new services across their hybrid cloud environments, leveraging all of their invested resources, including familiar VMware tools and training,” he continued.
Google Cloud VMware Solution by CloudSimple is a solution that utilizes VMware Cloud Foundation, and CloudSimple operates VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX introduced on GCP. Google Cloud will work with CloudSimple to help deliver business-critical applications that meet the service level agreement (SLA) requirements of enterprise customers while providing a streamlined product support experience.

VMware and Google Cloud are working together to help customers build the foundation they need for cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud strategies.
This expanded partnership builds on various existing integrations and collaborations, including: ▲the combination of Google Cloud with VMware NSX Service Mesh and VMware SD-WAN; ▲the combination of Google Cloud's multi-cloud solution Anthos with VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX; and ▲the combination of an automation environment based on VMware vRealize Automation with Google Cloud's resource management capabilities.

Dell Technologies, Microsoft, and VMware announced a major expansion of their partnership at Dell Technologies World 2019 to accelerate customer digital transformation. Through this collaboration, customers will be able to use VMware cloud infrastructure officially supported on Microsoft Azure. Clouds with virtual machines, such as VMware AWS, are on the rise.
VMware Cloud on AWS enables users to apply their desired architecture within virtual machines provided by VMware on AWS cloud services and operate their services. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation.
