Samsung Electronics will be holding the 2019 'C-Lab Outside' contest starting on the 1st to support the strengthening of the domestic startup ecosystem.

C-Lab Outside is a support program that aims to revitalize the domestic startup ecosystem by expanding the know-how Samsung Electronics has accumulated over the past seven years in operating C-Lab outside the company.

Samsung Electronics has been operating 'C-Lab', an in-house venture incubation program, since 2012.

This contest is being held under the theme of ‘Synergy with startups with innovative ideas and technological prowess’, and applications can be submitted from the 1st to September 11th through the Samsung Electronics C-Lab Outside website (https://samsungclab.com).

Any startup with high growth potential and innovative ideas and technological prowess can apply.

Startups selected through document and presentation screening will receive up to 100 million won in business support per team for one year and will move into a dedicated workspace located at Samsung Electronics' Seoul R&D Campus.

Also for 1 year You will participate in an incubation program that helps startups grow.

They can also have business collaboration opportunities with Samsung Electronics, and excellent startups can participate in global IT exhibitions such as CES and MWC, where they can gather feedback from local consumers and create opportunities to enter the global market.

Doubrain, selected for last year's C-Lab Outside program, has developed an AI-based children's brain development and diagnostic solution. Furthermore, in collaboration with Samsung Electronics, the company is developing a Smart School curriculum, a social contribution initiative, and piloting it in Cambodia.

Han In-guk, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Creative Development Center, said, "We hope to actively support innovative and promising startups," and added, "We will provide partnership opportunities to startups that can collaborate with Samsung Electronics, so that we can grow together and contribute to strengthening the domestic startup ecosystem."
