The ease of use of industrial Ethernet diagnostic tools has been enhanced.

On the 7th, Hilscher announced that its industrial Ethernet diagnostic tool, netANALYZER Scope, now supports the PROFINET Quicktester function, which allows for quick and easy diagnosis of PROFINET networks without separate software initial configuration.

PROFINET Quick Starter automatically collects information without additional configuration, including a list of network devices, jitter stability measurements, network load balancing between real-time and non-real-time traffic, and logical network connection status such as event logs.

It can also automatically detect network-related events of interest, such as new communication relationships or device alarms, including clear-text PROFINET alarm decoding. Quickstarter data can be extracted as a PDF report, making it easy to document your measurement results.

NetAnalyzer Scope, an add-on software for real-time Ethernet frame analysis, directly captures all process signals on the network, including process data, network events, network load, frame jitter, and frame delay, and clearly displays the results in graphs or tables with timestamps.

Network diagnostics can be easily performed using a GUI, eliminating the need to manually analyze large volumes of Telegram logs. Network stations, periodic/aperiodic connections, alarms, and other key events can be quickly tested, and comprehensive triggering capabilities are also provided. You can also view frame recordings for analysis in a graphical environment and save or load entire analysis projects.

Using NetAnalyzer hardware and NetAnalyzer Scope together, you can easily secure an Ethernet network and measure key data such as station lists, alarms, process values, network load, and telegram jitter without affecting the existing network or PLC.

It can operate autonomously without a PC, and its customizable trigger function allows continuous on-site operation. When a trigger event occurs, NetAnalyzer automatically generates a telegram snapshot for later analysis using NetAnalyzer Scope software. NetAnalyzer hardware can also be used with other analysis software such as Wireshark.
