Changwon's focus on middle-aged and older technology support for those in their 40s and 50s

The government has secured an additional budget of 72.2 billion won to support middle-aged and older adults and high-skilled entrepreneurs.

First, 31.8 billion won will be provided to support technology startups for the baby boomer generation in their 40s and 50s, who account for 66% of the startup market.

This mid-career technology startup support program offers up to 100 million won in support for startup product development, intellectual property rights application and registration, and marketing.

Additionally, a total of 15.4 billion won will be provided to startups in high-tech fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things, as well as to businesses in materials, parts, and equipment to address Japan's export restrictions. The initial startup package program will provide commercialization funding, testbeds, and entrepreneurship training.

In addition, 12 billion won will be provided to support the startup leap package project for companies that have been in business for 3 to 7 years, and the Free Tips project will be established for excellent startup teams in regions with insufficient startup infrastructure to promote local startups.

The Pre-Tips program is a system that provides up to 100 million won in commercialization funds to companies that have been in business for less than 3 years and have attracted an investment of 10 million won or more from investors such as Tips operators and accelerators.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced plans to streamline business procedures to expedite the implementation of this supplementary budget, given the high demand for startups among middle-aged and older individuals, materials, parts, equipment, new technologies, and regional businesses.
